Setting up camp on the Col du Midi, the cloud is starting to come in.

By the time we have finished setting up camp the cloud has come in and it is snowing.

After a few hours snoozing in the tent it starts to clear again.
|

So we headed up to the arete just under the Cosmiques refuge
|

Looking back from here you get a good view of the entrance to the Cosmiques couloir and the alternative enterance from the top of the Glacier Rond
|

The last rays of the sun glance off the shoulder of Mt Blanc du Tacul
|
 |
And the sun finally drops back down behind the clouds.
|

We came up to test out our gear before Martina headed off to Everest and I headed off to Alaska. I think the result for that down jacket was definately warm enough.
